The Tails and Tales summer reading program by our friends at the Charles W. Gibson Public Library is here to help make reading fun while school is out! Check out the reading lists by age group below. All listed books are available at the Gibson library and on our online store.
Studies show that over the summer months, children who don’t continue to use their brains might forget some of the information they learned over the school year! Reading, even reading for entertainment, is a good way to prevent summertime learning lag.
The Gibson Library has merged themed reading lists with fun crafts and activities, weekly trivia questions, and an end of summer prize drawing for participants. Avoid wasting the time put in this past school year, and register for this year’s summer reading program. Registration begins June 1st!
